SWITCH
ABOUT
Switch Abbey Brillo, simply known as 'Switch', is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter based in New York and Texas.
Moving to the United States at the age of five and settling down in Houston, Texas, Switch's first exposure to Western music was a deep immersion in classic folk, blues, pop and country. In exploring her identity as a first-generation immigrant, she went on to solo-travel across the world at 18, adventuring in far-off cities and finding inspiration in people all over the globe.
But no matter how far Switch traveled, she never could shake off her Texan roots; her offshore experiences paired with her southern upbringing were key in developing a wholly unique, modern Americana sound. She brings a heartbreaking warmth to her music that invites you to explore the universal in the personal, through the lens of someone finding themselves within the world and music.
Switch’s debut EP, Love & Devotion, is a raw and evocative collection of songs blending alt-country, folk-rock, and Americana storytelling. Switch has performed in key New York City venues such as Berlin, Heaven Can Wait, Canary Club, and Brooklyn Music Kitchen.
